The new Red Top Meadows facility in Jackson avoids a clinical feel, using design to connect young residents with the surrounding landscape during their treatment.
Red Top Meadows recently opened a new $11 million dormitory in Jackson to house adolescent boys transitioning through the state’s justice and foster care systems. The nearly 9,000-square-foot facility, designed by Untitled Architecture, uses a bold red exterior and minimalist, monastic-style bedrooms to move away from the feel of traditional institutional centers. Located on 20 acres bordering the Bridger-Teton National Forest, the home focuses on outdoor therapy like skiing and climbing to help residents heal from trauma and substance abuse.
