Police welcome drug-detecting dog Sid

The Jackson Police Department recently enlisted a two-year-old Labrador retriever named Sid. After finishing his specialized training, Sid will serve as the new drug dog.
The Jackson Police Department recently added Sid, a 2-year-old Labrador retriever, to the force to assist with drug detection alongside his handler, Officer Wyatt Swicegood. Sid is trained to identify heroin, ecstasy, methamphetamine, and cocaine, but he does not alert for marijuana. He joins Grizz as the second detection dog on the team, helping officers track scents in vehicles and buildings across town.
