Billionaire Joe Ricketts has secured a commercial building permit to move forward with a scaled-down resort called The Confluence on his ranch near Bondurant. The new plan features a 47,300-square-foot lodge and underground parking, a pivot from a larger project he scrapped in 2024 due to high costs and wildlife protection requirements. While the development is located south of Jackson, it matters to the region because Ricketts is tying the project to local conservation efforts and has already purchased property in Pinedale to house the expected workforce.
