START is temporarily cutting two commuter trips between Teton Valley and Jackson beginning Nov. 2 due to a lack of qualified drivers. The canceled routes include the 5:35 a.m. departure from Driggs and the 6:05 p.m. return from Jackson, which were selected because they have the lowest ridership. To address the shortage, the agency is offering a $10,000 signing bonus for new drivers and may consider expanding its vanpool program if the positions remain unfilled through December.
