Jackson realtor Mercedes Huff is sharing her experience with Stage 3 breast cancer to highlight the difficulties of traveling for treatment. While she received chemotherapy locally at St. John’s Health in 2015, she had to spend six weeks in Salt Lake City for radiation because those services weren't available in town. Her story is part of a push by the St. John’s Health Foundation to fund a comprehensive new cancer center that will allow future patients to stay in Jackson for their entire recovery.
