Jackson-based band Fader McGavin & the Risky Livers donated $30,000 to the Property and Environment Research Center during the Wildlands Festival in Big Sky this summer. Frontman and former professional snowboarder Willie McMillon says the band prioritizes giving to conservation efforts even when they lose money to play the event. McMillon, who grew up watching Jackson become increasingly crowded, views these donations as a way to honor his late stepfather’s legacy of protecting open spaces from development.
