Education students from three Midwestern universities helped clear invasive musk thistle from the Murie Ranch during a visit to Grand Teton National Park. These volunteers improved the local habitat as part of a hands-on learning program.

Visiting educators from Ohio University, Bowling Green State University, and Western Michigan University recently spent time at the Murie Ranch in Grand Teton National Park. The group focused on community impact by removing a dense patch of invasive musk thistle. This hands-on project was part of their broader place-based education visit to Teton Science Schools.
