The new class at MSU Farrier School finished its first week of training. Students practiced trimming, shoeing, and forging as they begin the eleven-week program.

The Fall 2026 class completed an intensive first week covering equine hoof anatomy alongside forging hoof picks and welding rings. The group performed dozens of trims and sets, including applying baby cuffs to a two-week-old foal. They will continue to develop their horsemanship skills over the next 11 weeks of the program.
