The documentary "Preserved" recently screened in Bozeman, detailing the late Ted Turner’s work to restore degraded landscapes through his massive ranching operations in New Mexico and Colorado. The film highlights how Turner combined bison ranching and hospitality with aggressive conservation efforts, such as stream restoration and the reintroduction of black-footed ferrets. These land management strategies are also used at Turner’s Flying D Ranch, located just outside of Jackson and west of Bozeman.
