The creek flows from the Gallatin Range through tunnels and under buildings that were constructed as the city developed. Local citizen group See Bozeman Creek is highlighting that while the water is a primary source for the city, it has been neglected and paved over for decades. Efforts are now focused on revitalizing the waterway as it passes through Bogert Park and along the Gallagator Trail.
