The Trust for Public Land donated this island complex on the Upper Yellowstone River to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. State commissioners unanimously approved the deal on June 12 to ensure the land in Paradise Valley remains open to the public rather than being developed. Local guides noted that even if the land is left untouched, the move is a win for keeping the area free of private fencing.
