Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee first met at a Minnesota bluegrass festival in 2009, though they didn't form the duo until their previous bands began to dissolve. Their current sound blends Winter's punk-rock roots with Lee's craftsmanship as a banjo builder to create minimalist acoustic arrangements.
