Bozeman High welcomes James Maxwell as new athletic director

    James Maxwell, a local parent and former university intern at Bozeman High School, has been appointed as the institution's new athletic director.

    James Maxwell, a local parent and former university intern at Bozeman High School, has been appointed as the institution's new athletic director.

    James Maxwell will take over as the full-time athletic director for Bozeman High starting with the 2026-27 school year. A longtime teacher in the district and former soccer official of the year, Maxwell previously served as a part-time activities coordinator and English teacher. He originally grew up in Wyoming before moving to the area in 1992.
